ESL students, sometimes have difficulty knowing how to refer to the positions on a webpage of certain items, such as icons, links, scroll bar, etc. Here is a handy diagram with phrases describing the location of items on a webpage.

Our first podcast of the semester from the Actively Engaged Online Series was How to do Well at School.  It was full of useful tips on how to become a successful college student which, let's face it,  isn't always easy.  Adapting to a new school environment and a new program, making time for old and new friends, and often having to work a part-time job while going to school can surely make things a challenge for any new college student. However, like anything else you want to become good at, becoming a good student takes practice, dedication and hard work. I wasn't always a stellar student at college. One of the things that I could have done better was to keep better track of my assignments and to seek help from my teachers more often.
